Can there ever be a solution for spinal cord injury?

David was a vibrant university student with dreams of becoming a medical doctor. But during a road accident, he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors told him, “There’s no cure.” For months, depression overwhelmed him. But one day, he heard a preacher declare, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, KJV). That day marked the beginning of a new chapter. Spinal cord injury is one of the most complex and devastating medical conditions. Humanly speaking, it has no complete cure. However, through faith, therapy, assistive technology, and relentless research, hope is rising. Stem cell science and neuro-regeneration are breaking barriers. But above all, many have received divine healing. “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church… and the prayer of faith shall save the sick” (James 5:14–15, KJV). Though the spinal cord may be damaged, the spirit must not be broken. As the African adage says, “Even a crippled man dreams of dancing.” Science may say “impossible,” but God says, “I will restore health unto thee” (Jeremiah 30:17, KJV). Solutions may not be instant, but with faith, wisdom, and persistence, healing—natural or divine—is always possible.
